Author of thriller, drama, criticism, bittersweet stories
HANK FREDO was born on a road trip in the Texas badlands and raised on the move, the son of parents who could never commit to one zip code. With books as his only constant companions during an itinerant childhood, he developed an early obsession with storytelling. He found temporary ground in New Orleans, working bars and taking creative writing classes, until a breakup sent him back to the road. Untethered, Fredo embarked on a jagged tour of the American working class: he has been a construction worker in Biloxi, a longshoreman in Beaumont, a roughneck in Galveston, and spent a stint working with porn in Las Vegas, Texas. He eventually landed in the Figueroa neighborhood of Los Angeles, where he currently resides. His bibliography includes Free Advice for the Common People, Sex, The Last Supper, Pop Life, Frank Martino – The Accidental Killer, Suburban Porn, Playlady, Tell You What!, The Stuff, Off Road, In the Folds of the Flesh, All the Wrong Decisions, You is the Monkey!, The Misadventures of a Porn Actor, and Sustainable Shit – The Ascension of a Millennial Hipster.
